The events of how this painting came into being make it all the more important for those interested in art history and the artist who has raised the bar over the course of time.
This powerful work is 20x18 oil on linen mounted in a fine cassette frame and was painted by Mr. Schmid at the Palette and Chisel in 1989. Acquired and held by Mr. and Mrs. Llanuza for many years it then became my privilege to live with, appreciate and study this modern master on a daily basis.
The work is titled "President Don" as Mr. Llanuza was the president of the Palette and Chisel at that time and is featured in Richard Schmid's book Alla Prima.
This painting is in excellent condition and is signed, dated and inscribed ~ To my good friend Don Llanuza Palette & Chisel 1989.
