Magic Place is an area of the Carson Pass along highway 88 in the high Sierra Nevada mountains that I have painted many views of in the past. It truly is a very magical place and begged to be painted in miniature! The original was painted in plein air alla prima and is a painting I have never had the heart to sell and is the model for the work you see before you.
